Our Story

A Rich Heritage of Excellence Since 1972

BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola stands as a testament to academic excellence rooted in the proud tradition of the Bangladesh Air Force.

Established in 1972 as Air Force School, the institution was renamed BAF Shaheen School in 1980 and upgraded to college level in 1982, when it took its present name — BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola (BAFSK). The English Version began in 2010, initially up to Class V, and was extended to Class X in 2015; in 2019 a new college building opened and the College Section started its journey, including the English Version.

Under the patronage of the Bangladesh Air Force, BAFSK has grown into a premier institution that today educates over 10,500 students across school and college levels in both Bangla and English versions, with an unwavering commitment to discipline, character building, and patriotism.

Our alumni have gone on to become doctors, engineers, military officers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and civil servants — contributing meaningfully to the development of our nation and beyond. The college has consistently maintained one of the highest pass rates in national examinations.
